Nedbank Cup

The Nedbank Cup is South Africa's national soccer competition. It was founded in 1971, and was known then as the Life Challenge Cup.

32 teams compete in this tournament, and the teams are not seeded. Names are drawn from a hat to receive home ground advantage. The winner of this competition wins R6 million, and qualifies for the CAF Confederation Cup. The current champions are Mamelodi Sundowns who won the Cup in 2008.
